The Sacred Yes

Hello friend,

Have you ever felt the Spirit nudging you toward something unknown… and your heart hesitated?

This week, we’re sitting with the beauty and the cost of saying yes to God.

Not the rushed, default yes that comes from guilt or striving.
But a sacred, soul-rooted yes—the kind that whispers back to the One who calls your name:

“Let it be to me according to Your word.”

+ A Gentle Beginning

Take a piece of paper. Write the word “yes” in the center.
Hold it open before the Lord.

Let your heart ask quietly:
What is God inviting me to surrender or step into this week?

No pressure. Just presence.

+ Scripture Meditation

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
—Luke 1:38

Mary’s yes wasn’t small—and it wasn’t easy.
But it was sacred. Rooted in trust. Offered in worship.

Where might God be asking you for your sacred yes?

This is the crux: Saying yes to God isn’t about certainty—it’s about surrendering to the One who is already faithful.

+ Beauty Reflection (Visio Divina)

Spend a few moments just gazing at this image of the rising sun. Let the image speak to you. Let God speak through the image.

Let your eyes settle gently. Breathe deeply.

Ask the Spirit:

What threshold am I being invited to step through?

Where have I been holding back, and what would it look like to open my hands?

Is there something I need to release before I say yes?

Linger with one detail that draws your attention—the glow of light, the ethereal landscape, the space of the sky.

You don't need to force understanding. Just behold—with a heart willing to be moved.

Let this be your prayer:
Lord, I want to say yes to You—not out of fear, but out of love.

Ask yourself:
What door is He holding open right now?

+ Prayer Prompts (for your journal, your prayer time, or your heart)

You don’t have to rush. Just be real. Be present.

“I offer You my yes…”
What part of my life feels hardest to surrender right now?
What might You be asking me to trust You with?

“Teach me obedience through…”
Show me how to follow even when the path is unclear.
Help me to see obedience not as pressure, but as communion.

“I surrender my fear and step forward…”
I release the fear of failing, of disappointing, of not knowing enough.
I choose to trust that You go before me—and You go with me.

“Help me say yes with joy, not just resolve…”
Let my yes be rooted in love, not in striving.
May it reflect delight in Your will, not dread of it.
