I think it is important for you to understand the foundation of my beliefs + how you can expect me to represent myself both personally in this space + IRL. This is my North Star, so to speak. It is the foundation of all I believe, all that I am + all I hope to become through God's never-ending grace.
I believe in the all-knowing, ever-present, supremely powerful God of the Bible. He is the grand Creator of our universe + exists eternally through the Holy Trinity: Father, Son + Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 1:1-3)
I believe the Bible is God's divinely inspired word given to us for instruction, wisdom, peace + revelation for knowing Him. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was both fully human + fully God living sinlessly + sacrificially to save us. He is the only mediator between us + God. (Luke 3:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1Timothy 2:5)
I believe we are all sinners in desperate need of rescue + redemption. We cannot see the Kingdom of God, except through the new birth, which takes place through repentance of sin + faith in God. Only by accepting Him as Lord of your life, confessing your sin + placing your faith in Him do you receive the ultimate gift of grace + everlasting life. (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1 John 5:11-13)
I believe that the Holy Spirit is our ever-present helper sent to fill those who believe in Christ, enable them to combat the spiritual forces of evil + carry out the Great Commandment + the Great Commission. (John 14:16–17, 26, Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 28:19)
I believe every believer is called to live + walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, to study + understand the Bible, to serve, worship + witness in the body of Christ's church; bearing fruit to proclaim the glory of God + resist the lusts of the flesh. (John 15:26–27, Acts 2:41-47, Hebrews 10:25, Galatians 5:16-18, 22-23)
I believe that Jesus Christ will personally + visibly return in glory to raise the dead + bring salvation + judgment to completion. He is returning again to establish + rule as King Jesus over a new kingdom + new earth where He will be glorified forever + evil, suffering + death will have no place. (1 Thessalonians 4:15–17, Romans 14:10–12, 1 Corinthians 15:51–54, Revelation 20:11–15)
