A new way to converse & connect.
Today, I’m announcing a new feature of my Substack publication: the Art + Soul Journal Chat. This is a conversation space exclusively for subscribers — like a group chat or live hangout, it’s a place to do life together.
I’m intentionally moving away from mainstream social media to be more connected to you - the people interested and engaged in what I’m offering. I plan to use this space to post questions, share studio updates, spiritual encouragement, prayers, thoughts, recommendations, and spread joy. Who knows….maybe I’ll drop some freebies and other goodies in here too! I hope to stir up some spirit-filled conversation and dream about you jumping into the discussion or even starting your own thread.
Basically, what I’m saying is this: If you want to know what I’m creating, thinking, exploring, connecting, learning, sharing, or Believing, then join the chat below cause this is where I’ll be hanging out. Plus, you won’t believe all the other refreshing content and peaceful spaces you’ll find on Substack and what a great place it is to set down some new stakes.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversations as they happen. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Click below to jump into the thread and say hi. If you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ or some common questions addressed below.

How am I notified about Chat?
You can select which Chat push notifications to receive on the Substack app. Tap your profile picture and select the Settings icon. In the Settings menu, tap Notifications.
Who can see my replies?
Other Art + Soul subscribers can see and react to your reply in a Thread. I'm cultivating a very kind and loving community so that nonsense will be tolerated. If they react to your message, you'll see a notification in your Activity section (click on the bell in the top right corner of the Substack app).
Tip: Don't see a thread? Check to see if you're on the latest version of the Substack app, and check your profile picture to see if the publication is listed in your subscription library.
Can I start a thread?
Yes, absolutely! You'll be able to start a conversation, and I encourage you to do so; that’s what makes it a community. I want to hear from everyone!
Click the + button inside the Chat feature on the web or the Substack app and begin your post. Also, you can mention another subscriber in a reply by using "@" before their Substack profile name.
