Hey, Sweet Friend!!
Today, I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the TLC subscriber chat. This is a private conversation space I set up exclusively for TLC members looking for spiritual mentoring, inspiration, and encouragement — like a group chat or live hangout, it’s a place to do daily life together. A bonus piece to the weekly mentoring posts received in the TLC membership.
I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and recommendations that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion or even start your own thread. Perhaps it will become a prayer thread; we will figure this out together.
If this is something that interests you and you’re not yet a TLC member, this is your official invitation to join us!! All are welcome.
To join our private chat, tap on the Chat icon on the Substack app or on the web. Substack Chat is available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Click below to jump into the thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Tap on a thread to start interacting with me and other members. You can reply to any thread with text and/or an image. You can also tap on another reader's message to react or to leave a reply.
How am I notified about Chat?
You can select which Chat push notifications to receive on the Substack app.
To turn on or turn off Chat notifications, follow these steps:
1. Tap your profile picture and select Settings. In the Settings menu, tap Notifications.
2. On your Notifications, make sure that the toggles are on the left for each item listed in the Chat section. You will not receive any push notifications about Chat.
Who can see my replies?
Other TLC members will be able to see your reply in a Thread. This will be a safe, private place for us to share. If they react to your message, you'll see a notification in your Activity section (click on the bell in the top right corner of the Substack app).
Tip: Don't see a thread? Check to see if you're on the latest version of the Substack app, and check your profile picture to see if the publication is listed in your subscription library.
Can I start a thread?
Yes, absolutely! You'll be able to start a conversation with other subscribers, and I encourage you to do so; that’s what makes it a community. I want to hear from everyone!
Click on "Start a New Thread" inside the Chat feature on the web or on the Substack app.
Also, you can mention another subscriber or the writer in a reply by "@" their Substack profile name.
Can’t wait to see you there!
