WEEK 1: INSPIRATION
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV
This week take time to read and meditate on God’s Word.
Study what this passage is saying.
Dig a little deeper by doing a SOAP.
Consider trying to memorize it. Write it on an index card or post-it note and place it somewhere you will frequently see it.
WEEK 2: REFLECTION
Consider your gifts, your talents, your vocation, and your circumstances as a special trust from God with which to serve Him by serving others. As Peter says, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10). Remember that you are responsible not for doing all the good that needs to be done in the world, but for doing what god has planned for you.
This week take some time to journal a response to this charge.
WEEK 3: CONNECTION
Think back over the past twenty-four hours. How aware were you of the needs and well-being of the people around you?
If you were distracted, what distracted you?
What opportunities have you had to do good in your daily work, at home or to your family, to another believer or to an unbeliever?
How Has God been kind to you?
Why should we be kind to the ungrateful?
Do you know anyone who needs some time and attention? If so, what can you do?
