Thanks for being here, Friend!
Our grassroots effort is really starting to take shape and we are already seeing encouraging developments and significant donations coming in. We continue to organize ourselves as a missional group as we meet regularly in the chapel at Star Gospel Mission. The current focus has been:
providing education and training to our group
generating ideas to meet current and future needs.
planning a variety of fundraising events
holding high the idea of “Friendraisers” as our primary tool
We have also been challenged by Star Gospel Mission's Executive Director, Reverend Dr. Marion Platt, to expand our vision for what our group represents by forming proper organizational documents that solidify our purpose and standing as an auxiliary support group. He has cast a vision that we are becoming a model that future groups will follow.
We continue to expand our reach in the community and be blessed by more and more hands and feet ready to serve to make this dream a reality. If you are interested in joining our efforts or know someone who is, please feel free to reply to or forward this email - every connection is valuable to us.
Several smaller teams inside the larger group have been organized to cover things like merchandise, prayer, and social media to bring more awareness. We are currently working on a selection of hats to accompany our necklaces and art prints. “Friendraisers” continue to provide the greatest opportunity to inspire and inform our friends and spheres of influence. We invite you to host one of your own to share about Morning Light. Please let us know how we can help make your Friendraiser event a success.
One of the most powerful things you can do is to begin to PRAY for this mission and the people they serve. Beyond funding, we are currently praying for God to provide the new director for the women and children's program, for real estate closing to continue to develop, and for resources to flow freely for this under-served population of people.

Friends of Morning Light was selected by Seacoast Chosen Women's Conference as their highlighted partner for the September 2025 event.
We are overwhelmingly humbled and honored by these partnerships and are expectant about what the Lord will do to multiply these incredible opportunities.
